Join us on June 3 at Saddleback church, San Diego at 12:30 to learn of numerous ways to wrap around these precious ones in the San Diego County foster care system.
Perhaps beauty will spring up from the hope we water onto their dry ashes.
It the recent Valley of Grief that our family has been walking through, there’s a cry I cannot depart from. As Hope begins to break into our clouds of grief, my heart continually turns towards this reality- Daily, children grieve too. They feel the suffocating pain of loss. Yet orphaned and foster children grieve alone- ripped from often abusive yet familiar people and placed into the midst of strangers. Suffocating from grief and trauma, they are left afraid, vulnerable and alone. ALONE. Can you imagine your deepest pain- yet as a vulnerable child…Alone?
Oh how we desire to chart a pathway into the dark places where these treasures await….
“To all who mourn… He will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for his own glory.” Isaiah 61:3
“He comforts us in all our troubles so that we may be able to comfort those experiencing any trouble with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Cor 1:4
